The new TWiT studios (The TWiT Brick House) are almost finished. They’re just getting the final touches because the first live broadcast from there is Sunday July 24. It all starts with the Tech Guy syndicated radio show at 11am PT, 1pm ET. The TWiT, live broadcast starts at 3pm PT, 5pm ET. The sets look great but I truly hate the tables they’re using on the TNT set. It looks like they pulled them from a junkyard. The rest of the sets looks great. Read the rest of this entry »
The war to be the best streaming music site is on. In April the announcement of Amazon’s Cloud Player and last month Google’s cloud based music service Beta called Google Music. I sign up for Cloud Player. I also requested an invitation to the Google service last month and just got the invitation today and logged in. After messing with it for a few minutes I found Google Music to be easier then Amazon because you can automatically add a lot of free songs so you can begin streaming right away. Security Sweeper Beta

Microsoft has released a new tool to help with their never-ending battle to defeat mal-ware on Windows PCs. Called Microsoft Standalone System Sweeper or MSSS it is a bootable live CD that is just a basic Windows environment with MS Security Essentials on it. Read the rest of this entry »
Teamviewer

This weekend I tried Teamviewer a free remote access program. There are other remote access programs and some even work better than Teamviewer but the two best things about Teamviewer is it works cross-platform (Windows, Mac, Linux and many mobile devices) and Teamviewer is free.
